Join the League

Everything the NYMUNL has to offer you and your team, whether you're an established team with an annual conference, a new or small team looking to start hosting a conference consistently, or someone looking to start a team at their school.

What does it mean to join?

Joining the league requires no obligation of any kind on the part of your team. There are no fees, no requirements, no rules that require that you stay. By joining the league, you are simply becoming connected with a greater Model UN community throughout NYC, and are gaining access to everything the NYMUNL team has to offer.

What is the benefit of joining?

By joining the league, you and your team can benefit from the following:

01

Promotion of your conference.

If requested, your conference can be promoted on our website, social media, newsletter, and other platforms to help bring in more delegate registrations to your conference. Your conference can also be directly shared with the rest of the League's delegations and members.

02

Access to conference staff.

If requested, the NYMUNL can provide experienced chairs and other committee staff who can: help run committees in your conference, help write background guides, other committee set-up procedures, or just provide advice.

03

Access to more conferences for your team.

As part of the league, you receive an organized list of all other conferences in New York City, and notice of any conferences the NYMUNL hosts itself, both complete with detailed registration information, all to help your team better schedule and plan for their season.

04

Access to a variety of Model UN resources and coaching.

As part of the league, you receive a variety of Model UN resources for the benefit of yourself and your delegation, including example position papers, directives, resolutions, background guides, crisis notes, crisis arcs, Model UN demos, workshops, and coaching, and much more.

05

Help setting up your own team at your school.

If you are from a school without a Model UN team and are looking to start one, the NYMUNL can help with that as well. Benefit from the advice of our team of experienced delegates and team leaders as well as our extensive Model UN resources to help set up a team at your school.

06

Anything else you may need.

As a member of the league, the NYMUNL is here to help you and your delegation in any way you may need. Whether that be advice on how to run your conference, manage a team, afford conferences, or anything else, we and our experienced team of leaders from Model UN teams across New York City are here for you.
